This is a slightly elevated plate in the shape of a wisteria flower, made of some-nishiki-te (some-nishiki-te) using a combination of underglaze blue and overglaze enameling. In his book, Motosuke Imaizumi speculates that this dish was made before the Enpo period, based on the fact that it is glazed with a raw glaze. The peony arabesque at the hem is decorated with five small birds. On the reverse side, the outer surface is decorated on two sides with arabesque patterns in the same brushwork, and the base is a kushime-taidai. Three sets of eye marks remain on the base. The wisteria pattern is somewhat similar to that found on kosode sleeves of the Kanbun period.
