Many short-necked jars with a flat body and a slightly high neck have been found in the Kyushu region. However, this type of three-footed jar has also been found in ancient tombs in Seino, Gifu Prefecture, and in the Mino Sue kiln, so it is difficult to say that this type of jar has a particular regional flavor. This jar has a lid with flat knob and guttering. The tripod may represent the feet of a beast.
