In the middle of the 6th century, the neck of decorated vases became significantly longer. This straight-necked jar is no exception, and has an open mouth neck in the shape of a large trumpet, as shown here. The neck of the jar has three thick chink lines, each of which is decorated with a wavy comb-like pattern. The base is yellowish brown with burn marks in various places and the potter’s wheel is not well thrown. It was probably made for funerary use.
