This jar is one of the most majestic examples among the relatively numerous examples of complete vessels. The narrow neck of the mouth is folded back to form an N-shaped rim band 1.7 cm wide, and the line of the body, which runs from the firm shoulders to the small base, is typical of the middle of the Kamakura period. The body is made of coarse clay unique to Tokoname with a high iron content, and the vessel is five-tiered with a three-tiered body, shoulders, and mouth and neck, and the surface is shaped with a brush pattern. The surface of the vessel is shaped with brush strokes. The natural dark green glaze, which flows down from the shoulder to the body on the blackish-brown surface, makes this jar even more powerful. The bottom of the jar is distorted from the intense fire, and there are pottery shards from the firing table adhering to it.
