This piece is also presumed to be an old potsherd from the Minamigawara period. The reverse side of each piece is characterized by a plain white surface, and most of the surface is covered with different colored glazes to create a lacquered or cast surface. Although it is not clear what the design was modeled after, it is an extremely innovative dish in terms of design and color tone among the irregularly shaped dishes of the Ko-Nabeshima style.
