This bowl has the same shape as the large bowl with floral motifs in overglaze enamels, but is slightly smaller. The design of six egrets in red and white lines within the eight ridges of the bowl, and the ground in overglaze blue with a running water design, is one of the most impressive compositions in the Ko-Kutani style of overglaze painting. The interior is filled with so-called “Hyakka” patterns, and what is really interesting is that only the head and tail of what appears to be a carp are painted near the prospective view, indicating that the composition symbolizes a pond scene corresponding to an egret. On the reverse side, there are five kakusaima frames with eight treasures inside, which are similar to those in Figure 7. The inscription in the center of the stand is also similar to that on the large bowl.
