Height 26.4 cm, mouth diameter 11.0 cm, bottom diameter 11.2 cm
This jar has a unique ovoid shape with a mouth and bottom attached to the top and bottom. Three such vases are known to exist. The body is irregularly covered with green glaze as if it were a hanging curtain, and the round and large and small floral motifs are scattered on the green glaze. The body is decorated with a series of landscapes with houses and pagodas, and the representation of whitewashed houses is unique to the Ko-Kutani style of color painting. The design may have been based on a late Ming dynasty painting of landscapes with pavilions, but the brushwork is in the style of the Kano school. The neck and base are covered with bands of dark blue and green glaze to tighten them.
The base is slightly thicker than the base, and the inside of the base is shallowly chiseled. The mouth is damaged, which is regrettable.
