This large dish with a tiered base is decorated with a large yellow leaf, a branch in white, and a single magpie in the shade of the leaf in black with a ground motif, and is glazed with a brightly colored green glaze. The interesting idea is in the use of the leaf as the subject and the bird as a subtitle within the ground. The outside of the bowl is not filled in as in most aote wares, but is covered with a yellow glaze with a two-tiered whorl pattern in the form of a band. A double Kakufuku inscription is inscribed inside the base.
