This three-tiered ceramic stacked box is shaped like a five-petaled flower. The lid is openworked with a camellia design, and the body of the three-tiered box has five long windows with finely worked openwork in a mesh pattern. The body is decorated with a series of pine and bamboo patterns on each tier, and the interior of the body is decorated with gold leaf on each of the three tiers, on which pine, bamboo, and plum blossoms are painted. The overglaze blue, green, and gold overglaze painting is, needless to say, unique to Koshimizu, and the fine clay clay used in the body is probably what enabled this type of work to be created.
