On the lid of the box, there is an inscription “Kenzan-style cherry blossom design bowl” on the front, and “Do-hachi seal” on the back, with a conch shell seal. This is a so-called “han-zori” bowl, which was invented by Kenzan, and the design expresses the beauty of cherry blossoms in full bloom from the rim to the body, with a green hill on the foot. The curved rim is decorated with a scattering of round openwork patterns, faithfully reproducing the style of Kenzan, and the mark “Do-hachi” is stamped on the left side of the foot ring. There are few copies of this type.
