The name “Ryūda” was likely given due to the overall reddish hue. This bowl has been well-known since ancient times as a famous persimmon-shaped bowl from Edo. The shape follows the standard form, with well-defined fine lines on the surface and hints of beadwork, evoking a deep sense of tea ceremony aesthetics. The foot stands elegantly, forming a helmet-like shape, which is a notable feature.
