This piece bears the name of Miyoshi Nagayoshi, who owned it, and is considered a representative example of the Kamigata powder-coated style, along with those of Matsudaira and Shuhaku.Miyoshi’s work is also thin, but the form is large and imposing. Matsudaira’s bowl is more bowl-shaped, but the rim is slightly curved outward.
The body also has a bamboo leaf-shaped fire mark, and the glaze flows horizontally through it, creating an even more interesting accidental pattern. It can truly be said to be the twin masterpiece of Matsudaira and powder-coated ware.
