There are many pieces from Kimhae with either peach or beach motifs, but this one is from the beach motif series and is thin. The pale blue glaze has a translucent, melting quality, and the red hues around the rim and base are beautifully accented by faint purple spots. The scenery on the rim is particularly exquisite, almost unparalleled.The “Fujinami” mark is likely inspired by the reflection of wisteria flowers on the water’s surface. The foot is a neat, rounded design with glaze applied inside, and the purple-tinged dots around the foot are another charming feature. The preference for the Shu-hama style and the overall design clearly indicate that this is a genuine piece.
