I have enjoyed tea from this tea bowl many times, and each time I am deeply impressed by its excellence.This is a tea bowl that makes tea taste delicious.
It is a simple tea bowl that can be considered a masterpiece among the finest examples of E-Karatsu ware.
Generally, this pattern is interpreted as “ayame” (iris), but in reality, it is unclear whether it is actually an iris, which adds to its charm. It is innocently painted in iron pigment.
Its half-cylindrical shape and the well-like indentation on the foot rim add an elegant touch.
