The name Kasumi no Sai was probably given because of the beautiful snake and scorpion glaze on the front. This is one of the seven types of Sokou Kaga.
The delicate workmanship is reminiscent of Nonkou’s exquisite skill.
The rim is shaped like a clam shell, the body is slightly narrowed, and the rounded waist is perfectly formed, creating a simple and elegant bowl.
The jet-black glaze is further enhanced by a curtain glaze, and the bold snake and scorpion glaze on the front adds a touch of elegance, creating a striking effect.
The entire piece is glazed, with the glaze even covering the seal mark. The glaze drips down, creating a gentle slope with tea stains and slight indentations.
This is the thinnest piece among the Kaga Seven Varieties.
