Revival Masterpiece, Senke Treasure

Brief Biography
Habuchi Sōin, whose given name was Hidehiro and also known as Hiko-gorō, has an unknown biography.
One theory suggests he was a disciple of Jukō and learned tea scoop carving from Jutoku, but this too is unreliable.
It is speculated that perhaps a skilled master like Genso discovered a tea scoop bearing the name Habuchi Sōin by chance within the Sen family and promoted the Habuchi name.
Curiously, one occasionally encounters Habuchi-made standard-form tea scoops in the Fushin-an lineage’s chased scoops.

Teaspoon
A beautifully crafted thin spoon.

Case
A beautifully carved genuine work. Being a matching case serves as evidence that Habuchi Sōin was a real person. Particularly, the signature and seal are exquisitely executed.
It is regrettable that the mouth seal is illegible.
