


Meibutsusu
Chashaku (tea scoop)
The two-striped gutter runs from the bottom of the joint to the top of the noodle, with a thin black spot to stop the noodle. The name “Futatsushitsuka” is also derived from this two-striped gutter.
Cylinder
The barrel is entirely machined, but the grain of the cutting is left in the shape of a naguri-shavings. The tube is rather thick but thin. The “Dantan futari futari shitsu ka shinjya” (The two gutters are from this type of gutter).

The inscription “Futari Shizuka” comes from the song “Futari Shizuka”, which is a Noh play in which the ghost of Shizuka Gozen and Shizuka Gozen dance by the Natsumigawa River in the ritual performance at Yoshinokotte Shrine.
