While Raku-style tea caddies were also produced by Chōjirō and Dōnyū, the First Generation Ōhi also left behind examples. This tea caddy is modeled after the Enza-style kata-tsuki form, featuring a rounded, turned-back rim, sharply defined shoulders, a gently flared body, and a band of incised lines around the waist, giving it an Enza-like appearance. A well-fused amber glaze is applied thickly from the rim to the lower rim, though in some areas it is thin and uneven, creating a mottled effect, and glaze drips extend down to the base. The rim and base are left unglazed to reveal the clay, and on the base, Sensō has written “Sōshitsu” (seal) in red lacquer. On the inside of the inner box lid, Rokkansai has written “Ōhi-yaki tea caddy, with Sensō’s seal,” and on the inside of the outer box lid, “Ōhi-yaki tea caddy with Senso’s signature; box inscribed by Rikkansai; Gen (seal)” is inscribed by Matmyosai.
