Celadon glazed vase with phoenix ears,
A national treasure and a great masterpiece. Among the celadon wares of China’s Southern Song dynasty (mainly from the Longquan kiln), the finest blue celadon wares are called “Kinuta” in Japan, and were especially prized for their unique ethereal and azure tones.
Mangoe” is the pinnacle of Kinuta.
The winged phoenix ears are well proportioned to the entire vessel, the mouth is straight, and the porcelain seems to be soft, with a greenish green color that is almost overflowing.
The green color is spilling out of the bowl. At first glance, the tea vase has the appearance of a craftsman’s style, and the phoenix ears are placed at the highest level of pottery flower vases.
The inscription on the lid is an imperial inscription of Emperor Gosei as well as “Tegoe” from the collection of the Yomei Bunko.
