A great masterpiece. This tea caddy was made in the Han style. This tea caddy was named “Osumi Katatsuki” because it was owned by Honda Osumi no Mamoru. This tea caddy is extremely light and has many views. It belonged to the Honda family, famous for the legend of the Utsunomiya Hanging Ceiling, but was given to Ii Sukibezu Naotaka after his family died out. Later, it was given to the Marquis of Kishu in 1709 (Hoei 6), and has been in the family ever since. (Taisho Meikikan)
