This is a typical ground bowl from near the end of the Muromachi period. The flat-bottomed, shallowly open body has eighteen grating marks made radially on the inner surface using an eight-fold comb. It is slightly under-fired and has a light brown color. The thick concave lines on the inner surface of the mouth are also characteristic of this period.
