There is an ink inscription on the back of the lid “冶葛”, but it is currently empty. This is the largest of the medicine jars, made of fine clay and fired to a very high quality, with a grayish-black luster. The neck of the mouth is turned outward in a trumpet shape, and the base of the body has a strong tension. The lower half of the body is polished, making this an exquisite thin piece.
