Based on the shape of the ovoid body, this jar is thought to have been made around the end of the 15th century. There is a prominent geta mark on the underside of the bottom. The firing is good, with half of the surface being light red and the other half black with uneven firing, and a yellowish green natural glaze on the shoulder half, giving it a richly varied color tone.
