This is the most typical Bizen seed jar. It is made of slightly coarse clay containing fine grains of silica stone, molded with rolled-up corded clay, and finished on the potter’s wheel, and has a relatively thin and orderly shape. It is relatively thin and neatly shaped, with a single stripe on the shoulder and three stripes on the body. The pottery is well finished, with a brownish-brown color on one side and a blackish-brown color on the other, and the naturally glazed areas have fallen off, revealing a gray base.
