This piece dates from the first half of the 16th century in terms of the mouth rim and body shape, but the clay flavor and form are somewhat different from those of the same period in Tamba. The glaze tone is also the same, and it belongs to a series of works including a jar inscribed in Kouei 3, so the question of where it was made must be addressed in the future.
