ncense burner with design of men pulling a fishing-net, E-garatsu type

Height 7.5 cm, mouth diameter 8.6 cm, bottom diameter 4.6 cm
This is an incense burner in the kuchiyose style, with a flattened and twisted mouth, and the base is low and carelessly carved. The body is decorated with a painting of six or seven figures pulling a net on one side and three or four birds on the other side in a caricature-like style with very poor brushwork, and a feldspar glaze containing earth and ash is applied from the mouth to the edge of the base, leaving the interior to show clay. The bottom is thick and surprisingly heavy. Based on similar pottery shards, it is estimated to have been made at the Yakizan kiln.
