Height 8.8cm, Bowl diameter 15.5cm, Stand diameter 6.0cm
This is a tea bowl of similar style to Nakao, and is one of the simplest tea bowls in the Oku-Koryo style. The base is low, the inside of the base is shallowly carved, and the tatami mat is wide.
The glaze which is applied inside and outside, leaving a rounded area around the base, is well melted, showing large and small crevices, and the glaze has a strong bluish color as if it was fired in a reducing manner. The glaze has a strong blue tinge and light purple blotches appear on the outside. It is interesting to note that the author recognized the name “Well” on the front cover of the box, which is probably from the Edo period. Kanehara Tohata calls this tea breaker “Nenuki” and estimates that it was made in the Iidong Jangjo Kiln, but this is not certain.
