This water jar is similar in appearance to an Iga ware water jar and was probably influenced by it. The mouth is wide, and the base is bulging out to form a pouch, with ears on both sides and a vertical spatula on the body. There is a large crack at the hem. The glaze is thickly applied over a layer of dobe, but the glaze has melted to a glossy finish, and there are seven glaze drips along the hem. This is another excellent Tamba mizusashi, probably made in the early Edo period.
