Height 6.2 cm, mouth diameter 34.0 cm, bottom diameter 15.2 cm
This dish is a masterpiece of the Aote Koya Kutani school, introduced on every occasion because of its exquisite design of seven interconnected eggplants in an almost linear pattern. This is a large dish with a tiered waist, and the mouth rises low with a rouge edge. On the front, an eggplant connected by a rope is clearly expressed in yellow and dark blue, and on the ground, a whirling stream design is spontaneously expressed and covered with a green glaze. On the reverse side, an arabesque design with chrysanthemums arranged on three sides is drawn in a lively manner, and a “fuku” character inscription is written in a large double square in the center of the base, with a thin layer of yellow glaze over it.
