This is a lid rest in the shape of a tripod stand, and it is a good reproduction of Kosometsuke ware, with traces of insect damage. The accompanying box is inscribed “Blue and White, Tripod Stand, Lid Rest, Kukuri, Mokumai-zou”, and the back of the tripod stand ring is also inscribed in small blue and white characters “Kukuri, Mokumai-zou”.
