Height: 6.0 cm, Mouth Diameter: 13.8 cm, Foot Diameter: 5.3 cm
This is a generously sized flat tea bowl with a thick rim, a tapered body, and a flared lower section. The foot is low, the footring is narrow, and the hollowed-out area inside the foot is large and shallow. The interior is wide with no tea pool; the glaze covering the entire surface has a rough, unpolished texture, with the outer portion being particularly rough, and traces of red glaze appearing on part of the lower rim. Four kiln marks remain on the foot rim. Jushinsai has inscribed the box with “Sönyü Black Flat Tea Bowl, Hokkai, Left (Seal).”
