 The oral cavity is slightly inclined inward, and the width of the jade rim is narrow and shows a tendency toward degeneration.
 It is made of dense clay mixed with rice paddy soil and wheel-thrown by water grinding, and is valuable as a reference material from the middle of the 16th century. The body bears an engraved inscription in thick cursive on the body: “Koutora, 7th month, auspicious day in the year of Tenmon Hatsu 3” and “Ibe Kimura Jiroemon”. The vessel has a well-fired, smooth blackish-brown skin with a thick layer of dark green natural glaze on the shoulder and running down part of the body.
