Height 9.7 cm, mouth diameter 8.8 cm, high stand diameter 5.1 cm
This is a cylindrical tea bowl with a slightly stretched body, and the mouth rim is also held slightly inward. The base is carved low and straight, and the tatami mat is thin and rounded from the edge of the base to the waist. The clay surface is reddish brown. The body is painted with an “X” design on three sides with unrestrained brushwork, and the entire surface, except for the base, is covered with a thick feldspar glaze mixed with earth and ash, which has produced rough penetrations. There is one other tea bowl of almost the same shape and design that has been handed down, and it is assumed that both of them were made by the Fuji-no-Kawachi family.
