As mentioned earlier, in the 6th century, the introduction of electric power led to changes in rice-cooking utensils, and jars became large and long-bodied. The flat bottom of the jar is another characteristic of eastern Japan. The body of the jar was formed by rolling up clay strings, and the mouth and neck were adjusted with a horizontal nadir using a brush.
