The straight mouth is slightly twisted back to form a ball-rim style, with large ears on the left and right sides and a stripe on the upper part of the body. The ash glaze is thinly applied and some parts are burnished. It is said that this type of bowl was commonly called “nugi-bachi,” but what does this mean? This piece was probably made between Momoyama and the early Edo period.
