　The composition of a peony flower with stamens in yellow and petals in navy blue, slightly smaller in size and with unusually large leaves is unexpected, but such an extraordinary design is often used in Aote. The ground pattern showing petals in the style of blue ocean waves is a regular feature of Aote. The reverse side is decorated with chrysanthemum arabesques and the inscription “Kakufuku” is written inside the base, and the entire surface is covered with green glaze.
