Height 9.3 cm, mouth diameter 22.5 cm, bottom diameter 16.5 cm
Only four or five hand bowls remain in the Ko-Kutani style of iroe. Or perhaps they were not made very often as special order items. It is a flat bowl in the shape of a gong with a flat bottom and a mouth held inward.
The back of the handle is decorated with an arabesque design in underglaze blue. The front has a shikishi window with a design of old mountain tea trees and birds perched on a taiho stone, surrounded by small red circles on four sides of a dark green ground. The outside is also decorated with an arabesque pattern in underglaze blue.
