The pale persimmon color with a hint of blue in the fire finish creates a scene reminiscent of mist, which is probably the reason for the name. This is a rare masterpiece even among Dōya pieces. The skillful craftsmanship around the foot is unparalleled, and the elegance of the upper half is unmatched.Overall, its elegance is unmatched among Hontedoya pieces. The upper half is thinly crafted, with a cut-away rim and a smooth, gentle curve. The glaze is thin and slightly worn in places. The overall pale apricot color is accented by a subtle blue hue visible both inside and out.The rim is wide, with two distinct lines around the edge, and there are six eyes. The base is another major highlight, with two tiers of vigorous side cuts exposing the rough, rugged base, creating a dramatic, indescribable effect. The bamboo-jointed base is robust, with a sharp, swirling pattern inside, and the crepe-like wrinkles are also remarkable.
