Height: 8.7 cm, Mouth Diameter: 9.6 cm, Foot Diameter: 4.9 cm
The bowl is slightly thick overall, with a broad midsection and a rim that curves inward. The body features four raised dots, with indentations between them—a design that is unusually elaborate for a bowl by Ichinyū. The lower part of the body is rounded, and the foot is small and compact, with a distinct kabuto-kin (helmet-shaped indentation) carved into its interior. The glaze applied to the entire piece reveals a vermilion hue, with patches of vermilion glaze clumping together in a mottled pattern in places. On the underside of the box lid, Fuzan Seio has inscribed “Ichinyu Black Tea Bowl: Akebono (seal).”
