Height 9.3 cm, Mouth diameter 9.3 cm, Foot diameter 4.9 cm
This is a cylindrical tea bowl with an inward-curving rim, and traces of a chisel mark are visible on the exterior. The foot is low, with a flat base, and a swirl-shaped indentation has been carved into the interior of the foot. The glaze applied to the entire piece is uneven, and the areas where the glaze is thick exhibit a bluish, milky white color. The glaze on the interior has a slightly pitted texture, and the tea pool at the bottom is shallow. A mark is stamped on the side of the foot, but it is indistinct due to the thick glaze. The underside of the lid bears the inscription “Iri-zō Akachawan, certified by the 10th-generation Kichizaemon,” and Horiuchi Sōkan has added the inscription “Yukichō Kan (signature).”
