This tea bowl is also one on which Ryoin inscribed his signature; it is a half-cylinder tea bowl with a style very similar to the “Red Cylinder Tea Bowl” inscribed “Secho.” The rim features a gentle undulation, and both the interior and exterior are decorated with a combed texture. The footring is narrow, and a swirl-shaped hood is applied inside the foot. The glaze applied to the entire piece has fired to a vivid red Raku, with a seal stamped beside the foot and three traces of the potter’s finger remaining on the foot.
