This is a rare water vessel used as a bone container. The spout, handle, and base are missing. It has a so-called “Kinuta” shape, which is an imitation of a similar white porcelain pitcher from the Southern Song Dynasty in China. The body is decorated on both sides with a large peony design carved in a thick circle. The ash glaze is a beautiful light green color.
