This jar is thought to have been made in the 16th century, judging from the shape of the small, upright neck with a ball rim at the tip. It is made of corded clay, but there are significant wheel-thrown folds in the molding process. The pottery is of excellent workmanship, with a reddish-brown luster and a yellowish-green sesame paste natural glaze on the shoulder. There are some cracks on the lower half of the body, but this is a fine thin piece.
