This jar belongs to the Bizen long jar series. The neck of the mouth is thin and rises slightly inward, creating a wide jade-rimmed mouth rim. The surface of the vessel was adjusted by scraping. The surface is covered with a dark green natural glaze. This is one of the finest examples of a jar with a rich weight.
