This jar-shaped tea caddy with rounded shoulders is slightly thickly molded. The body is covered with ash from the mouth to the body, and the flat bottom is still marked with a thread cutter. This tea caddy was probably made in the Momoyama period (1573-1600) and has an apologetic appearance. It is named “Futami” because it was found in Ise, and is inscribed on the box by Fumisai, the ninth generation of the Urasenke school.
