Height 2.5 cm, mouth diameter 21.5 cm, base diameter 7.5 cm
All of the Genroku-engraved pieces are extremely fine quality brocade porcelain, and it is interesting to note that the designs on them are different from each other, as if they had been made as samples. Many of them are similar to Nabeshima or in the style of Ko-Imari type. Among them, this plate is the most elegant piece in the traditional Kakiemon style, with a floral arabesque design. The front of the dish is wide and flat, with a wide mouth and a unique shape with the rim hanging vertically. The rim is decorated with seasonal flowers such as peonies, hydrangea, caresses, irises, arabesques, and chrysanthemums in an arabesque style. Each flower is decorated in red and gold, and stems and leaves are represented in underglaze blue, green, and yellow.
The reverse side is inscribed “Genroku 12-nen Kaki” (persimmon).
