This round incense container is in the style of a Zanguri hand-fabricated ware. It is decorated with a plum design in iron pigments and gosu over a white-lacquered ground, over which a transparent glaze is applied, but the white-lacquered ground has been partially removed. The flat bottom is inscribed “Qianzan” in unrestrained brush strokes.
