All of the carved Mishima pieces feature cypress fences as their characteristic feature, but in this tea bowl, the cypress fences are particularly vivid, so it is likely that this inscription was added specifically for this piece.
The cypress design is arranged in two outer layers and three inner layers, with a flower motif at the center. The white inlay stands out clearly, and in terms of design effectiveness, the white and red clay base is excellent. The bamboo-jointed high foot, both inside and out, has a glaze that is slightly translucent, creating a deep, textured appearance. The crepe-like wrinkles inside the foot are also remarkable. Additionally, the white brushstrokes remaining on both the interior and exterior add to its charm. There are nine eyes.
