This food container features exactly the same design as the incense box shown in Figure 182. The knob is round and mounted on a chrysanthemum-shaped base; the interior is coated with white glaze, the knob and chrysanthemum base with green glaze, and the rest with a thick layer of yellow glaze. The mark “Eiraku” is stamped in the center of the base. The lid of the box bears the inscription “Yellow Kōchi Ware, Food Container, Winter Honeysuckle,” while the underside of the lid reads “Made by Tōkunken Hozon, Inscribed by Zengorō.” The artist’s name “Tōkunken” was bestowed upon Hozon by the Takatsukasa family in the third year of the Kōka era, when he was fifty-two years old.
