This vase is thought to have been made in the 13th century, judging from the tight neck, the lack of tension in the shoulders, and the straight body shape toward the bottom. The clay is grayish-white and of relatively high quality. There is an inscription “U” on the shoulder. It is very well fired and white with natural glaze on the shoulder and a part of the body. This is a fine example of an Atsumigama pot.
